Thursday Lunches

The Foundation is looking for individuals to volunteer at the Thursday lunches. Volunteering includes setting up the tables, serving meals, and light clean up from 10:45 AM - 12:30 PM.

Event Committee

If you love planning events and throwing parties, we would love you to join our event committee. The event committee helps to plan the annual fundraiser and live music and dancing. Please email OSCFoundation@gmail.com for more information.

Board Member

Help guide the future plans of the Foundation by serving as a Board Member. The foundation is looking for people with diverse backgrounds and interests. Please email OSCFoundation@gmail.com for more information. 

 

Serving on the board is a rewarding experience and an opportunity to serve our community in a meaningful capacity. Director positions are elected at the annual membership meeting or by a majority vote of current board members

Board Member Responsibilities

 

1. Serves a minimum of one (1) three-year term on the Board. Eligible to serve additional three-year terms if re-elected.

2. Attend quarterly board meetings and additional special meetings if needed. Quarterly meetings are typically the second Monday of the month at 11:00 AM in January, April, July, October.

3. Attend a minimum of four (4) Center events each year.  

4. Maintain membership at The Center in Oak Harbor ($40 a year membership fee).

5. Make a serious commitment to participate actively in foundation committee work. The foundation is a working board where each director serves on a committee.

6. Stays informed about committee matters, is prepared for meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports.

7. Builds a collegial working relationship with other committee members that contributes to consensus.

8. Participates in the advancement of the foundation including fundraising and member recruitment.
